The Saginaw Area Transportation Agency (SATA) is seeking input on its new Draft 2026-2029 Transportation improvement Program TIP.  A major component of the plan is a list of transportation projects that are proposed for development during 2026-2029.  These projects include both local roads and state highways.  The draft project list also includes major capital investments in public transit that are proposed to both maintain current services and to offer expanded services in the future.   

Other topics addressed in the TIP include an inventory of the existing transportation system in the Saginaw area, an evaluation of future needs and investments for other travel modes such as non-motorized facilities, a description of transportation issues and concerns in the community, and a discussion of projected funding levels for future projects. SATA will hold two public Open Houses to discuss the draft plan.  Open House #1 will be at the SVRC Marketplace 203 S. Washington Ave. Saginaw, MI Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 4PM – PM

Open House #2 will be at the 2025 Annual Senior Picnic Haithco Park located on Schust Rd. Saginaw on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.   

The SATA Policy Committee will hold a Public Hearing on the TIP on June 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the meeting Public Comments will also be accepted during the public hearing.
