The Saginaw Area Transportation Agency (SATA) is the principal public agency, as per Section 134 (a) of title 23, United States Code, conducting regional transportation planning for the Saginaw City urbanized Area. As required by Federal regulations. SATA has developed a new Public Participation Plan. The Public Participation Plan identifies strategies to improve and increase participation in transportation planning activities by all stakeholders. One of the key objectives of this plan is to foster a process that will result in transportation plans and projects that reflect the values of the communities that SATA serves.

The draft Public Participation Plan is available for review and comment by all interested persons on the SATA website and in-person at Saginaw’s Friday Night Live on August 12, 2022, 5PM-8PM.

Written comments opportunity and Public Hearing Information are as follows:

  • In person comments opportunities will be available at the SATA Technical meeting on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the SATA Office 4805 Towne Centre Rd. Suite 104 Saginaw, MI 48604
  • A public hearing will take place at the SATA Policy meeting on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the meeting there will be opportunity for public comment. Meeting will be held Saginaw Transit Authority & Regional Services (STARS) 615 Johnson Street Saginaw, MI 48601
